【摘要】:Sampleconditioningsystemsmustbedesignedtoaccommodateawiderangeofsamplesourcetemperaturesandpressures.Additionally,effortsmustbemadetoensurethattheresultantsamplehasnotbeenalteredduringtransportandconditioningandhasnotsufferedexcessivetransportdelay.Studieshaveshownthatsamplestreamswillexhibitminimaldepositionofionicandparticulatematteronwettedsurfacesatspecificflowrates(1x2013;5).Toensurethatthephysicalandchemicalpropertiesofthesamplearepreserved,thisflowratemustbecontrolledthroughoutthesamplingprocess,regardlessofexpectedchangesofsourcetemperatureandpressure,forexample,duringstartuporchangingprocessoperatingconditions.Theneedtouseanalyzertemperaturecompensationmethodsisdependentontherequiredaccuracyofthemeasurement.Facilitiesdealingwithultra-purewaterwillrequirebothcloselycontrolledsampletemperatureandtemperaturecompensationtoensureaccuratemeasurements.Thetemperaturecanbecontrolledbyaddingasecondortrimcoolingstage.Thetemperaturecompensationmustbebasedonthespecificcontaminantsinthesamplebeinganalyzed.Inotherfacilitiesinwhichsomevariationinwaterchemistrycanbetolerated,theuseofeithertrimcoolingoraccuratetemperaturecompensationmayprovidesufficientaccuracyofprocessmeasurements.Thisdoesnotnegatethehighlyrecommendedpracticeofconstanttemperaturesampling,especiallyat25x00B0;C,asthemostprovenmethodofensuringrepeatableandcomparableanalyticalresults.Aseparateclassofanalysisexiststhatdoesnotrequireor,infact,cannotusethefullyconditionedsampleforaccurateresults.Forexample,thecollectionofcorrosionproductsamplesrequiresthatthesampleremainatnearfullsystempressure,butcooledbelowtheflashtemperature,inordertoensurearepresentativecollectionofparticulates.Onlysomeoftheprimaryconditioningcriteriaapplyinthiscase,asinothers.Temperaturecompensationisnotapplicablesincethematerialbeinganalyzedisnotinaliquidstate.1.1Thispracticecoverstheconditioningofaflowingwatersamplefortheprecisemeasurementofvariouschemicalandphysicalparametersofthewater,whethercontinuousorgrab.Thispracticeaddressestheconditioningofbothhigh-andlow-temperatureandpressuresamplestreams,whetherfromsteamorwater.1.2Thispracticeprovidesproceduresfortheprecisecontrolofsampleflowratetominimizechangesofthemeasuredvariable(s)duetoflowchanges.1.3Thispracticeprovidesproceduresfortheprecisecontrolofsampletemperaturetominimizechangesofthemeasuredvariable(s)duetotemperaturechanges.1.4ThevaluesstatedineitherSIorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
