【摘要】:Thisguideisintendedtoencourageconsistencyandthoroughnessintheapplicationofgeostatisticalsimulationtoenvironmental,geotechnical,andhydrogeologicalsiteinvestigations.Thisguidemaybeusedtoassistthoseperformingasimulationstudyorasanexplanationofproceduresforqualifiednonparticipantswhomaybereviewingorauditingthestudy.ThisguideshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithGuidesD5549,D5922,andD5923.Thisguidedescribesconditionsforwhichsimulationorparticularsimulationapproachesarerecommended.However,theseapproachesarenotnecessarilyinappropriateifthestatedconditionsarenotencountered.1.1Thisguidecoverstheconditionsthatdeterminetheselectionofasuitablesimulationapproachforasiteinvestigationproblem.Alternativesimulationapproachesconsideredhereareconditionalandnonconditional,indicatorandGaussian,singleandmultiplerealization,point,andblock.1.2Thisguidedescribestheconditionsforwhichtheuseofsimulationisanappropriatealternativetotheuseofestimationingeostatisticalsiteinvestigations.1.3Thisguidedoesnotdiscussthebasicprinciplesofgeostatistics.IntroductionstogeostatisticsmaybefoundinnumeroustextsincludingRefs(1-3).1.4Thisguideisconcernedwithgeneralsimulationapproachesonlyanddoesnotdiscussparticularsimulationalgorithmscurrentlyinuse.ThesearedescribedinRefs(4-6).1.5Thisguideoffersanorganizedcollectionofinformationoraseriesofoptionsanddoesnotrecommendaspecificcourseofaction.Thisdocumentcannotreplaceeducationorexperienceandshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithprofessionaljudgment.Notallaspectsofthisguidemaybeapplicableinallcircumstances.ThisASTMstandardisnotintendedtorepresentorreplacethestandardofcarebywhichtheadequacyofagivenprofessionalservicemustbejudged,norshouldthisdocumentbeappliedwithoutconsiderationofaproject''smanyuniqueaspects.Thewordx201C;Standardx201D;inthetitleofthisdocumentmeansonlythatthedocumenthasbeenapprovedthroughtheASTMconsensusprocess.
