【摘要】:Inorganicconstituentsinwaterandwastewatermustbeidentifiedandmeasuredtosupporteffectivewaterqualitymonitoringandcontrolprograms.Currently,oneofthesimplest,mostpracticalandcosteffectivemeansofaccomplishingthisisthroughtheuseofchemicaltestkitsandrefills.AmoredetaileddiscussionispresentedinASTMSTP1102.Testkitshavebeenacceptedformanyapplications,includingroutinemonitoring,compliancereporting,rapidscreening,troubleinvestigation,andtrackingcontaminantsource.Testkitsoffertime-savingadvantagestotheuser.Theyareparticularlyappropriateforfielduseandusuallyareeasytouse.Usersdonotneedtohaveahighleveloftechnicalexpertise.Relativelyunskilledstaffcanbetrainedtomakeaccuratedeterminationsusingkitsthatincludeapremixedliquidreagent,premeasuredreagent(tablets,powders,orglassampoules),andpremeasuredsample(evacuatedglassampoules).1.1Thisguidecoversgeneralconsiderationsfortheuseoftestkitsforquantitativedeterminationofanalytesinwaterandwastewater.Testkitsareavailablefromvariousmanufacturersforthedeterminationofawidevarietyofanalytesindrinkingwater,surfaceorgroundwaters,domesticandindustrialfeedwatersandwastes,andwaterusedinpowergenerationandsteamraising.SeeTable1foralistingofsomeofthetypesofkitsthatareavailableforvariousinorganicanalytesinwater.1.2Ranges,detectionlimits,sensitivity,accuracy,andsusceptibilitytointerferencesvaryfromkittokit,dependingonthemethodologyselectedbythemanufacturer.Insomecases,kitsaredesignedtoreplicateexactlyanofficialtestmethodofastandard-settingorganizationsuchastheAssociationofOfficialAnalyticalChemists(AOAC),AmericanPublicHealthAssociation(APHA),ASTM,ortheU.S.EnvironmentalProtectionAgency(USEPA).Inothercases,minormodificationsofofficialtestmethodsaremadeforvariousreasons,suchastoimproveperformance,operatorconvenience,oreaseofuse.Adjustmentsmaybemadetosamplesize,reagentvolumesandconcentrations,timing,anddetailsoftheanalyticalfinish.Inyetothercases,majorchangesmaybemadetotheofficialtestmethod,suchastheomissionofanalyticalsteps,changeoftheanalyticalfinish,omissionofreagents,orsubstitutionofonereagentforanother.Reagentsintestkitsareoftencombinedtoobtainafewernumberandmakethetesteasiertouse.Additivesmayalsobeusedtominimizeinterferencesandtomakethereagentmorestablewithtime.Akittestmethodmaybebasedonacompletelydifferenttechnology,notapprovedbyanyofficialorstandard-settingorganization.Combinationsoftestkitsx2014;multi-parametertestkitsx2014;maybepackagedtosatisfytherequirementsofaparticularapplicationconveniently.Thetestkitsinsuchcombinationproductsmaybeusedtomakedozensofdeterminationsofseveralparameters.1.3Testkitreagentrefillsarecommonlyavailablefrommanufacturers.Refillspermitcostsavingsthroughreuseofthemajortestkitcomponents.1.4Becauseofthewidedifferencesamongkitsandmethodologiesfordifferentanalytes,universalinstructionscannotbeprovided.Instead,theusershouldfollowtheinstructionsprovidedbythemanufacturerofaparticularkit.1.5Atestkitorkitcomponentshouldnotbeusedafterthemanufacturer''sexpirationdate;itistheuser''sresponsibilitytodeterminethattheperformanceissatisfactory.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafet......
