【摘要】:1.1Thisconsumersafetyspecificationcoverstheperformancerequirementsandtestmethodstoensurethesafetyoftoychests.1.2Thisconsumersafetyspecificationisintendedtominimizetheaccidentsandinjuriestochildrenresultingfromnormaluseandreasonablyforeseeablemisuseorabuseoftoychests.1.3Forthepurposesofthisconsumersafetyspecification,theserequirementsapplytoproductsknownastoychestsortoyboxesthataredesignedandmarketedasstoragecontainersfortoys.Theproductssubjecttotherequirementsarethosewithavolumeof1.1ft3(0.031m3)ormore.1.4Notoychestortoyboxproducedaftertheapprovaldateofthisconsumersafetyspecificationshall,eitherbylabelorothermeans,indicatecompliancewiththisspecificationunlessitconformstoallrequirementscontainedherein.1.5Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section5,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
